
Hello! Welcome to the 'village of books' Bhilar. About 5 km from Pachagani on Pachagani to Mahabaleshwar road. In the remote village of Bhilar, an innovative concept has now been introduced for book lovers. The idea is so simple but unique.. come here, handle books, browse, read.. that too for free. Not a little bit but almost 12000 to 15000 books.. These books are arranged in different 22 places in the village according to their literature type. In some of these places you can stay, enjoy books while sipping tea and coffee (please note that this facility is not free).
The idea and the project started like this - Marathi Language and Culture Minister of Maharashtra State Hon. Mr. Directed by Vinod Tawde . Speaking at a function on February 27, 2015 , referring to the book village 'Hey on Way' in England, he expressed the idea that such a 'book village' can definitely take shape in Maharashtra too.
This new, unique, innovative and exciting idea was welcomed by media, literary and general public. Many articles and news were printed about this. Thoughts were presented through various ceremonies and meetings. Mr. himself. The Chief Minister discussed this with publishers, writers and intellectuals. Out of all this, on 1st May 2017, Bhilar joined as a village of books.
